Simona Stanoeva
Simona Stanoeva is from Kiustendil, where she studied in the music class of the Neofit Rilski High School. She is currently studying music at the Sofia University.
Q.: How long have you been involved with music?
A.: Since I was 7 years old.
Q.: From which geographical area is the costume you wear on stage?
A.: I wear a dress from the Rodope region.
Q.: Which is your favorite folk song?
A.: Lale li si, Ziumbul li si (Are You a Tulip or a Hyacinth).
Q.: Your favorite song from the Choir’s repertoire is… ?
A.: Mesechinko lio, greilivke ( (Playful Moon) is one of the songs which send goose bumps up my spine every time we perform it.
Q.: What is the Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria Choir for you?
A.:-A teacher that has made me wiser, has imbued me with new values and helped me see the world for its beauty.
Q.: Your favorite memory from the stage?
A.: Every moment on the stage becomes a favorite memory.
Q.: Your favorite Bulgarian proverb?
A.: A grief shared is half in strength; a joy shared is twice in strength.
Q.: What is music to you? –
A.: Music is happiness to me and gives me the strength and the freedom to be my true self.
Q.: What are your dreams?
A.: I am like a small child that dreams of so many different things. I dream of making the people around me a littlet better, a littler happier, and to find the path towards the unattainable.
Q.: The best thing?
A.:Happiness in my parents’ eyes.
