Nina Kostova is from Varshetz and has studied folk singing at the National School of the Arts in Pleven. She later graduated in Musical Pedagogy and Folk Singing from the Academy of Music, Dance and the Fine Arts in Plovdiv with the class of Prof. Svetla Stanilova.

Q.: How long have you been involved with music?

A.: Since I was 5 years old.

Q.: From which geographical area is the costume you wear on stage?

A.: From the Pirin folklore region.

 

Q.: Your favorite song from the Choir’s repertoire is… ?

A.: Sleeping is Chelebiiche.

Q.: What is the Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria Choir for you?

A.: It is magic that bewitches you. I am infinitely happy to be part of the team of the Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria.

Q.: What is your favorite memory of the stage?

A.: Each appearance on stage carries its own memories. But my greatest satisfaction is to see the audience’s joy.

Q.: Your favorite Bulgarian proverb?

A.: A word of good can open the sternest doors!

Q.: What are your dreams?

A.: I dream of a better world.

Q.: What are the moments that take your breath away?

A.: They are so many. I am awed at the beauty of nature, or when you feel you’ve grasped the divine. When you see the joyous and gratified audience after a successful concert is also a moment that takes your breath away...

Q.: The best thing?

A.: My daughter.
